Reddit Marketing Agencies & Services: Best & Worst Options

Reddit marketing agencies and services weren't really on people's radars a year or so ago.
I think these services have captured people's imagination because Reddit is among the most-cited domains in AI-generated answers.
Sure, it fluctuates a little bit, and you've probably seen recently on X that there's been a small dip in Reddit citations across AI search.
But broadly speaking, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn remain major sources of information for the likes of ChatGPT, Perplexity, and most importantly, Google's AI Overviews.
What people have found is that when a buyer types something like “best applicant tracking system for a 40-person company” into ChatGPT, there is a very real chance the answer is being stitched together using a few different Reddit threads.
And what I've found, in many cases, when I look at the threads cited, is that these are often two- to three-year-old threads where nobody was trying to sell anything at the time.
I've been working with B2B companies on their SEO since 2019, and for most of that time, I’ll admit, Reddit has been in my peripheral vision.
In more recent years, I think it's become one of the most underrated purchase influence engines on the internet.
Because when you look at a lot of Reddit threads and the type of things being discussed, they mostly boil down to people trying to decide something.
In a lot of cases, a searcher is going to trust a stranger with 40 karma who sounds like he knows what he’s talking about more than they trust your landing page.
I know Neil Patel has been banging this drum too recently.
So today, I feel it’s useful for us to go through the best Reddit marketing services and agencies one by one.
You’ve probably seen the market fill up with people selling upvotes, aged accounts, comment bots, and all sorts of nonsense.
That’s spam. We should just call it out for what it is.

Let’s Define What A Reddit Marketing Service Does
Before I get into the list, it obviously helps to know what you are buying.
There are only three legitimate jobs a Reddit marketing service can do for you:
Number one…
Researching subreddits for the exact words your buyers use when they complain, compare, or shortlist.
Number two…
Showing up as a named human, disclosing who they work for, and answering a couple of questions about your product/service on your behalf.
Last but not least…
Setting up and running Reddit ads so your brand appears next to those same conversations.
Anything outside those three is a waste of money.
Reddit’s own content policy is pretty blunt about spam.
They define spam as "repeated or unsolicited actions (whether automated or manual) that negatively affect redditors, communities, and/or Reddit itself," and it is "never allowed."
If you want the reach, you have to earn it. Reddit, of course, wants businesses to consider their advertising platform.
The Best Reddit Marketing Agencies & Services Right Now
1 - Tinuiti
Tinuiti was the first independent agency named a Reddit partner in 2022. They are a performance agency and Reddit sits alongside Meta, Amazon, Google and TikTok.
This is if you already spend plenty of money on paid social and want to add Reddit as a channel with measurement. They do benchmarking and creative testing work, and their paid social leads have been public about how different Reddit's targeting is from other platforms.
The trade-off here is scale. Tinuiti is built for brands with serious budgets, so if you're a seed-stage SaaS with £3k a month to spend, you're not their customer.
They recently published the “ultimate Reddit ad type cheat” with a case study on how they captured 3.1M impressions for a client.
So, in a nutshell, I only think Tinuiti is the perfect fit if you’re already pushing hard with paid media and want to add Reddit ads into that mix.
2 - Freshly Squeezed SEO
Freshly Squeezed SEO has helped B2B and SaaS businesses grow organic visibility since 2019.
I’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic companies over the last few years.
In terms of the work I do on Reddit, that’s only for a select few clients.
It’s all focused around reputation management and sentiment.
I want to see who’s talking about the brand and who isn’t.
I’m also looking for negative brand mentions.

Brands often aren’t part of the Reddit conversations happening around the solutions they offer.
And then it’s about taking a step back and thinking…
Okay, how can we bring the brand into these conversations?
When Reddit users are listing out products and services in that space…
Why is that brand never mentioned?
I guess the great thing about Reddit is that users never hold back with their opinions.
They are sugarcoating nothing!
You’re usually getting a lot of unfiltered takes.
And that’s, of course, usually for a founder. But it requires monitoring and managing.
3 - Sociallyin
Samsung, Nikon, and Hitachi are just some of the brands Sociallyin has worked with.
This is an official Reddit Marketing Partner that specializes in brand accounts, setup and moderation of subreddits, AMA hosting, thread interaction, sentiment analysis and, last but not least, Reddit Ads.
Their focus is on brand safety and, in their words, “winning conversations”.
This is probably a good fit for larger brands that need an official presence on Reddit but don’t really have the time to be dealing with growing a community and the moderation that comes with it.
4 - NP Digital
I like Neil Patel because he's always been really big on experimentation.
And while NP Digital works across paid media, SEO and content, I’ve found that they have deep knowledge in all of these areas.
From what I understand, most of their Reddit work at this point is geared towards niche, highly engaged communities in tech, gaming and consumer products.
I know that they've obviously got a large base of international clients at this point, and they're working across several different markets.
So with that in mind, you could expect an account team rather than a founder on your call with them.
I would imagine they're more likely to work with you if Reddit is folded into a full-funnel program alongside SEO and paid advertising. But you would ultimately need to speak with them to find this out.
5 - Directive Consulting
These guys are new to me. I hadn't actually heard of Directive Consulting before.
They are a B2B performance marketing agency that's focused on client generation.
I've seen that they have read it in their paid media efforts as a way to reach technical and industrial buyers, who are potentially quite hard to find on LinkedIn without having to pay an absolute fortune per click.
If you're a software company with a tightly defined ICP and a sales team, I think these guys are potentially a good partner, or at least worth having a call with.
6 - RevenueZen
RevenueZen do B2B SEO and generative engine optimization, with Reddit treated as part of how brands earn visibility inside AI answers.
Their thesis is close to mine.
Reddit threads are ranking assets and citation sources, so being usefully present in them compounds.
They pair that with content strategy and LinkedIn work, which makes them a decent fit for companies who want organic and social handled together.
7 - Single Grain
Single Grain runs Reddit as an end-to-end channel.
So that includes community engagement, content strategy and paid campaigns.
They are a well-established growth agency with a broad service list, so Reddit is one of several things their team will look at.
That will be a big plus if you want one agency covering multiple channels and possibly a minus if you want deep Reddit specialism.
But like all of the options I’ve mentioned, it’s a good idea to book a call with them to see how they view Reddit and whether you’re on the same page.
8 - Reddit Ads Manager & Reddit Pro (Doing It Yourself)
We obviously need to talk about this option.
I think, for a lot of smaller businesses, this is the best entry point into the Reddit-verse.
They have a self-service ads platform that lets you target by subreddit, keyword, interest and lookalike audience.
Reddit Pro, if you’re not familiar, is a free toolkit that shows you where your brand is already being mentioned.
You also get a sense of what is trending in your categories and an overview of how your organic posts perform.
It’s probably worth you spending a few hundred dollars on testing subreddit-level targeting and seeing whether the audience converts.
I’d then go looking for Reddit marketing services and agencies to scale it.
You will also be a far better client once you understand how the platform behaves.
What I Want You To Avoid When Buying Reddit Marketing Services
I don’t think it’s helpful for me to name and shame anyone here.
Partly because the worst offenders change names every few months!
I’d generally avoid anyone selling…
Upvotes
Aged or rented accounts
Volume promises
Guaranteed rankings
AI comment bots
On that last point…
Reddit's policy explicitly names generative AI tools that facilitate spam.
Users are also very good at spotting them and getting publicly called out as a bot on Reddit is pretty terrible for your brand.
Reddit Ads Are A Good Shortcut
If you don’t really have the time for the organic route and want to see results super duper fast, I would just buy the placement with Reddit Ads.
These will let you appear in the exact subreddits and against the exact keywords where potential buyers are chatting.
Conversation placements put your ad inside the thread.
AMA ads let you run a proper question and answer session as a paid unit.
You get to be visible in the conversation without having to pretend like you’re part of it!
From what I’ve seen, the numbers usually work out a lot better than people expect going in.
You are buying attention from people who are actively researching.
Also, an ad is an ad. It’s labelled as such. Nobody’s feeling tricked by anything and moderators don’t have anything they need to remove.
How You’re Going To Start Showing Up In Reddit Threads
The mechanics are the same whether you hire someone or do it yourself.
You will need to find the threads where somebody has a problem your product solves.
Only answer the question if you're trying to be helpful.
You should recommend competitors where they are the better fit.
Sales pitches aren't welcome and a glance at the subreddit rules will no doubt say as much!
If you're biased, tell them.
I think founders would be stunned by how much they can learn about their market just from interacting as a normal person on Reddit.
But if you're time-stretched and can't set aside 20 minutes a day for conversations on the platform, these Reddit marketing services and agencies could help you.
